Healing in the Kalahari

The Kalahari Desert basin is a tough place to live, and yet the Nambian city of Windhoek is located right on the edge of the great desert. Willow was born in Windhoek, we first met her when we were on a mission trip to the region. Willow had multiple continental heart defects. We were able to train her older siblings to be care-givers for Willow until we were able to fly her to New York where she was treated at Montefiore’s Children’s Hospital.
